Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or a mix of thyme, oregano, and basil)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- If the breasts are thick, pound them to an even thickness for even cooking.
- Sear the Chicken:
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F / 75°C).
