How to make green beans with oil

Green Beans with Olive Oil (Mediterranean Style) 🥗🌿

This light and healthy green bean dish is a classic Mediterranean recipe. It’s simple, flavorful, and perfect as a side dish or a vegetarian main course.


Ingredients:

  • 500g fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large tomato, chopped (or ½ cup canned diced tomatoes)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • ½ tsp ground cumin (optional)
  • ½ cup water or vegetable broth
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Sauté the Aromatics:

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.
  • Add garlic and stir for 30 seconds.

2. Cook the Green Beans:

  • Add green beans and stir for 2 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cumin.
  • Pour in water or broth and cover.
  • Simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes until tender.

3. Final Touches:

  • Drizzle with lemon juice for freshness.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley.

4. Serve & Enjoy:

  • Serve warm or cold with bread or rice.
