One-Pot Pasta with Sauce (Easy & Delicious)

This one-pot pasta is a simple and flavorful dish where the pasta cooks directly in a rich tomato-based sauce, absorbing all the delicious flavors. Less mess, more taste!


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups pasta (penne, spaghetti, or fusilli)
  • 2 cups water or vegetable broth
  • 1 ½ cups crushed tomatoes or marinara sauce
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Sauté the Aromatics:

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add onions and cook until soft, then add garlic and cook for another minute.

2. Add Sauce & Pasta:

  • Pour in crushed tomatoes, water (or broth), oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in uncooked pasta, making sure it’s submerged in the liquid.

3. Simmer Until Cooked:

  • Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and cover.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta absorbs the sauce.

4. Finish & Serve:

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese (if using) and mix well.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot!

Serving Ideas:

  • Enjoy with garlic bread or a green salad.
  • Add grilled chicken, mushrooms, or spinach for extra flavor.
