One-Pot Pasta with Sauce (Easy & Delicious)
This one-pot pasta is a simple and flavorful dish where the pasta cooks directly in a rich tomato-based sauce, absorbing all the delicious flavors. Less mess, more taste!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups pasta (penne, spaghetti, or fusilli)
- 2 cups water or vegetable broth
- 1 ½ cups crushed tomatoes or marinara sauce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Sauté the Aromatics:
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onions and cook until soft, then add garlic and cook for another minute.
2. Add Sauce & Pasta:
- Pour in crushed tomatoes, water (or broth), oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in uncooked pasta, making sure it’s submerged in the liquid.
3. Simmer Until Cooked:
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and cover.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta absorbs the sauce.
4. Finish & Serve:
- Stir in Parmesan cheese (if using) and mix well.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot!
Serving Ideas:
- Enjoy with garlic bread or a green salad.
- Add grilled chicken, mushrooms, or spinach for extra flavor.
